These points correspond to different organs and systems within the body, helping to restore balance, improve circulation, encourage healthy energy flow, ease tension, and melt away stress.

I use the Bergman Method, created by award-winning reflexologist Ziggie Bergman. This is the only ITEC-accredited facial reflexology qualification in the UK.

Why Choose Facial Reflexology?

Facial reflexology offers all the benefits of foot reflexology, but many people find it even more soothing. This may be because the reflex points are closer to the brain, or simply due to the slow, rhythmic, almost hypnotic nature of the treatment.

It’s also a perfect option for anyone who dislikes having their feet touched or has a contraindication on the feet.

Potential benefits include:

  • Releasing facial tension caused by stress, posture, jaw clenching, bruxism or eye strain

  • Encouraging healthy circulation and lymphatic drainage

  • Improving skin tone and radiance for a natural glow

  • Supporting recovery from Bell’s Palsy or Ramsay Hunt Syndrome

  • Relieving sinus congestion (hayfever, allergies, viral symptoms)

  • Reducing tension headaches and migraines

  • Promoting deep relaxation and a general sense of wellbeing

What to Expect During Your Session

Before your treatment, you will have completed a consultation form. At the start of the session, I’ll carry out a brief skin assessment and discuss what you would like to achieve.

Treatments take place on a massage couch, usually lying down, although a reclined seated position is also possible if preferred.
For the 60-minute session, you may wish to remove your top (or wear a strappy top that can be easily adjusted) as this treatment includes massage of the upper arms, shoulders, and neck.

Your session begins with a cleanse (using either a warm towel or facial wipes, depending on your preference). I then apply an organic, nourishing elixir before working through the reflex points and optional massage on the neck, shoulders, and head.

After your treatment, I’ll show you a few simple reflex points you can use at home to continue the benefits.

Treatment Options

30 minutes
A perfect taster or a quick “stress-buster”, focusing on essential reflexes that calm the body and mind.

60 minutes
A full, systematic treatment covering all reflexes, with time to tailor the session to your specific needs. Includes neck, shoulder, and scalp massage.

Facial reflexology also combines beautifully with other treatments such as Reiki, foot reflexology, or a holistic facial. Please get in touch if you’d like to create a bespoke treatment.

Contraindications

Facial reflexology is gentle and suitable for most people, but there are a few situations where treatment may need to be avoided:

  • Within 2 weeks of major dental work (extractions, root canal etc).
  • Within 3 weeks of facial treatments such as botox, fillers and chemical peels
  • Within 3 months of a face lift or facial surgery.

Skin conditions such as rosacea, eczema or dermatitis may be aggravated during flare-ups and extensive or painful acne should be avoided to prevent discomfort and spreading infection. However, if you have any concerns, please contact me prior to booking for further advice.
