Facial reflexology is a highly relaxing and gentle treatment which focusses on stimulating reflex points (on the face) which relate to the various organs and systems of the body to help balance, improve circulation, energy flow and aid relaxtion and reduce stress. I use the Bergman technique for facial reflexology, created by award-winning Reflexologist, Ziggie Bergman. This is also the only ITEC accredited facial reflexology qualification in the UK and is a uniquely calming and balancing treatment which will also leave your face feeling both relaxed and rejuvinated.
Why should I have Facial Reflexology?
Facial Reflexology has all the benefits of foot reflexology, but there are also additional benefits from working on the face which seem to be even more powerful than foot reflexology. This could be due to working on associated reflexes with a close proximity to the brain, but also the slow and rhythmic nature of the treatment feels quite hypnotic and calming both to give and to receive.
Facial reflexology is also, of course, ideal for anyone who does not like to have their feet touched or has a local contraindication on their feet.
Additional benefits may include:
- Easing facial tension caused by stress, poor posture, eye strain, bruxism or jaw clenching
- Aiding circulation and lymphatic drainage, particularly on the face
- Improving the appearance of the skin and giving a radiant healthy glow following treatment
- Helping to reduce the physical effects of Bell’s Palsy and Ramsay Hunt Syndrome
- Relieving sinus congestion due to hayfever, allergies or viruses
- Reducing tension headaches and migraines
- Aiding a general sense of wellness and relaxation
What happens in a Facial Reflexology Session?
You will already have completed a consulation form prior to your treatment and at the start of the session I will also do a short assessment of your skin and discuss what you’d like to acheive from the treatment.
The treatment takes place on the massage couch, usually lying down but if you prefer in a reclined seated position. You will need to remove shoes, and for the 60 min session, preferably your top (or wear a strappy top that you can push the straps down on) as the treatment also includes massage to the upper arms, shoulders and neck.
The treatment begins with a cleanse of the face. I then apply an organic and nourishing elixir on your face and continue the treatment which also includes massage to the neck and shoulders and head if desired.
After your treatment, I will advise and demonstrate some reflex points that you can do at home.
There are 2 treatment lengths (30 or 60 mins). The 30 minute treatment is ideal as a taster treatment or a stress buster session which targets some essential reflex points, particuarly designed to relax you. The full 60 minute treatment works systematically on all reflexes and gives time to tailor the treatment to any issues or concerns. It also includes neck, shoulder and scalp massage techniques.
Facial reflexology works beautifully combined with other treatments too, including reiki and/or foot reflexology or combined with a holistic facial. Get in touch to find out more and create your own bespoke treatment.

- No treatment within 2 weeks of extensive dental work such as extraction/root canal
- No treatment within 3 months of face lift or facial surgery.
- Localised open wounds/contagious conditions such as cold sores must be covered
