Reduce Tension and Restore balance
30 minutes – £35
Indian Head Massage is a deeply soothing treatment that focuses on the neck, shoulders, scalp and face—areas where many of us unconsciously store stress. Many people hold emotional tension in the jaw, temples and scalp without realising it; Indian Head Massage helps to release this holding pattern, targeting tired and tense muscles whilst creating a profound sense of relaxation and clarity.
Rooted in traditional Ayurvedic practices, this treatment helps soothe a busy mind, ease muscular tightness and restore a sense of balance throughout the whole body.
What to Expect
Unlike regular massage, for Indian Head Massage you will remain fully clothed and seated in a low back chair, which makes it particularly convenient if time is short. It is preferable to wear a tshirt (or vest top if you would like oil used on your neck and shoulder area).
I start by gently releasing tension in the upper back, shoulders and neck—areas that often become tight from daily stress, poor posture and long periods of sitting. Slow, deliberate movements help to soften the muscles and prepare the body for deeper relaxation.
From there, the treatment moves to the scalp, where a combination of soothing strokes, uplifting movements and gentle pressure points help to ease mental fatigue, support circulation and encourage a sense of clarity. The session ends with calming facial techniques that help release tension around the jaw, temples and forehead, further quietening the mind.
